First topic is abortion (and after it got late, the only topic). We all know it will never cease to exist, but let us examine the issue anyway.
Some argue that it is should be a woman’s choice since it is her body. And this is a fine argument if you are uneducated and cannot think of a better argument. If this is all you have, then you are being selfish. I will agree to the point it is the woman’s body that is pregnant, but it is not the woman who is being killed, it is the baby.
I would only agree to accepting abortion as a way out of a pregnancy if certain conditions were met. Shall we go over those conditions, yes we shall. First off, if she is under 18, she would need to meet with her parents and discuss the situation with them. Second, meet with a psychiatrist or counselor to discuss what may happen after the loss of the baby, the emotional scare that she is putting on herself. Third, meet with the man whom would be the father of this child. And fourth, the most difficult of all, find a person who speaks with the unborn and ask him/her is he/she wants to be murdered. I know this sounds ridiculous, but I have yet to this day meet someone who has said to me that they wished their parents had had an abortion when they were pregnant with them.
I know I know, I am being unreasonable. I guess I just really value human life and respect the fact that God gave us the ability to reproduce.
This is what I know as a father. I love my daughter to the point that if given the choice to give my life for hers, I would without hesitation. If she needed my heart to live, it is hers. If she needed a kidney, it is hers. The moment I held her in my arms I could not believe the miracle God gave me. And yet to this day, hundreds of babies are thrown aside because they are a mistake. A preventable mistake if the people having sex would use something, anything. But they do not because abortion is legal.
Again, many people say that it is a woman’s body and a woman’s choice. Cop-out and weak at most.
